Job Description
An outstanding opportunity exists for an accomplished Chief Operating Officer to join a well-established and growing Australian manufacturing business located in the NSW New England Region. This executive role offers the chance to make a significant impact by leading manufacturing operations, driving continuous improvement, and partnering with the CEO to deliver the next phase of growth.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Chief Operating Officer will play a pivotal role in translating strategy into operational success. Leading a team of three direct reports, you will be responsible for improving production performance, enhancing operational efficiency, identifying opportunities for innovation, and contributing to the commercial growth of the business.
n
This is a highly visible leadership position suited to someone who enjoys working closely with people, building high-performing teams, and delivering tangible business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
n

- Lead day-to-day manufacturing and operational performance across the business.
n
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, quality and efficiency.
n
- Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, systems and operational performance.
n
- Partner with the CEO to deliver strategic objectives and support business growth.
n
- Contribute to the development and execution of commercial initiatives to grow sales and strengthen market position.
n
- Lead, mentor and develop a capable leadership team while fostering a positive, accountable culture.
n
- Manage operational budgets, performance metrics and business improvement projects.
n
- Champion a safe, quality-focused and customer-centric operating environment.
n
n
About You
n
You are an experienced operational executive with a strong background in manufacturing and a proven ability to lead change and improve business performance.
n
You will bring:
n
n
- Significant leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
n
- Demonstrated success improving production performance, operational efficiency and business outcomes.
n
- An understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodology.
n
- A commercially minded approach with the ability to balance operational excellence with business growth.
n
- An innovative mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.
n
- Strong people leadership skills with the ability to engage, influence and develop teams.
n
- Excellent commercial and operational acumen.
n
- Engineering qualifications will be highly regarded but are not essential.
n
