This is a Laboratory Technician & Product Technologist role with Suntory Oceania based in Sydney, NSW, AU.

This is a fixed-term contract role through until the end of December 2026.

What You'll Do
n
n
- Maintain the R&D; laboratory and pilot plant to high safety, GMP and hygiene standards.
n
- Coordinate laboratory equipment calibration, preventative maintenance and repairs.
n
- Manage laboratory scheduling and ensure equipment is operational and compliant.
n
- Liaise with external contractors, calibration providers and testing laboratories.
n
- Prepare samples, batches and materials for development projects.
n
- Support testing activities and coordinate external sample shipments.
n
- Provide technical and administrative support for licensed NPD projects.
n
- Set up and maintain product, ingredient and process documentation.
n
- Support development trials and Design Review processes.
n
- Partner with Suntory Global Spirits R&D; and Commercialisation teams to ensure successful project delivery.
n

What You Bring
n
n
- Degree qualification in Food Science or a related discipline.
n
- Experience working in a laboratory or technical environment.
n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
n
- Excellent organisation, time management and multitasking capabilities.
n
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and SharePoint.
n
- A genuine passion for food, beverages and science.
n
- Curiosity, initiative and a growth mindset.
n
- Positive, hands‐on and collaborative approach.
n
- Food and beverage industry experience, ideally within alcohol beverages.
n
- Robust stakeholder management and relationship‐building skills.
n
