Position Summary
n
Medical Science Liaison (MSL) – responsible for developing strong relationships with key external experts, advancing medical affairs initiatives, and providing scientific support to internal stakeholders.
n
Responsibilities
n
n
- Maintain a KOL list for the designated territory and therapeutic area.
n
- Schedule and conduct regular interactions with KOLs, aligning with the medical plan and meeting activity KPIs.
n
- Provide high‐quality medical and scientific support to internal teams, including clinical and sales/marketing training.
n
- Support evidence‐generation activities and act as local support for phase IV studies and investigator‐initiated trials (IIT).
n
- Coordinate with commercial teams to address clinicians' scientific and clinical needs and ensure medical education activities align with medical strategy.
n
- Maintain up‐to‐date scientific expertise, actively review literature, and attend local, regional, and global medical affairs events.
n
- Prepare and present critical reviews of scientific publications and congresses to internal and external audiences.
n
- Use the Ferring CRM system (OCE) to plan and record KOL interactions in a timely manner.
n
- Develop, update and execute territory and individual KOL development plans aligned with medical strategy.
n
- Provide subject‐matter expertise and cross‐functional support for internal brand teams and Market Access activities.
n
- Monitor competitor activity and provide insights to medical and commercial colleagues.
n
- Identify medical education needs and opportunities; collaborate with stakeholders to develop and execute programs such as symposia, webinars, and speaker tours.
n
- Attend scientific congresses (domestic and international) to support medical and commercial activities.
n
- Generate and communicate actionable medical insights.
n
- Maintain compliance with MA Code, SOPs and PV requirements, and achieve agreed Medical Excellence and CRM quality metrics.
n

Qualifications
n
n
- Previous experience as an MSL in the Australian pharmaceutical industry.
n
- Tertiary scientific/clinical qualifications.
n
- Experience with compliance responsibilities.
n
- Demonstrated integrity, tenacity, resilience, and adaptability in complex and changing environments.
n
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a technical setting.
n
- Track record of communicating science and collaborating transparently.
n
- Ability to analyse and take action without compromising quality within required timeframes.
n
- High degree of emotional intelligence and intercultural adaptability.
n
- Robust written and verbal English language skills.
n
