Job Description

Electrical Estimator
n
Reporting to the National Estimating Manager, you will have a proven record in estimating, negotiating and securing new electrical, instrumentation and automation projects in predominantly the utilities, resources, mining, oil and gas or heavy industrial sectors.
n
This position will focus primarily on projects in the QLD and NSW water industry and growing to execute projects Nationally and work closely with other group businesses to build a project pipeline in mining, minerals and metals amoung other industrial sectors.

- Identify and manage upcoming tender opportunities across the utilities, water and industrial sectors.
n
- Review tender documentation, drawings and specifications to accurately determine project scope and develop competitive project estimates.
n
- Prepare detailed tender submissions, pricing strategies and supporting documentation for major electrical, instrumentation and automation projects.
n
- Work closely with engineering, project delivery and business development teams to develop innovative, commercially competitive solutions.
n
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors to gather technical information,
obtain pricing and finalise submissions.
n
- Participate in bid reviews, commercial risk assessments and project handovers, while contributing to the continuous improvement of estimating processes.

What you will bring:
n
n
- Experience as an Electrical Estimator, ideally within the utilities, water, mining or heavy industrial sectors.
n
- Electrical Trade Qualification or tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
n
- Demonstrated experience preparing commercially competitive tenders for complex electrical infrastructure projects.
n
- Strong understanding of project costing, electrical systems, Australian Standards and industry regulations.
n
- Experience using estimating software such as WinEst, Espro, CostX or similar.
n
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
n
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
n
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, with experience using project management software viewed favourably.
