Position is to start ASAP until June 2027

Medical Informatics Registrars will be expected to become subject matter experts for clinical information systems, with an emphasis on the EMR, but also will be involved in a variety of other clinician related systems and implementation of new technologies (with a focus on AI tools). They will be expected to facilitate system requirements and design discussions and the change management process for any new / modified solutions.

Working as an extended part of the Department of Clinical Informatics, the Medical Informatics Registrar will act as a bridge between clinicians and the EMR or Digital Health (DH) Team to translate clinical practise into technical solutions and vice versa.

They will be expected to demonstrate clinical leadership and the ability to positively influence their peers acting as a visible and strong proponent of change and advocate the perks the EMR and other clinical technology will bring to relevant areas of Monash Health.

Mandatory requirements of the role:

Primary medical degree (MBBS) or equivalent

All candidates will require Australian working rights





Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
