Wiggins Island Coal Export Terminal – Gladstone QLD
Wiggins Island Coal Export Terminal (WICET) is a world class, industry-owned and privately funded terminal located at the Port of Gladstone. This modern, state of the art terminal was built to expand the region’s coal export capacity, becoming operational in 2016. WICET is a $4 billion investment which operates with a high degree of automation and is committed to operating in a safe, environmentally friendly and socially responsible manner.
We are currently seeking a Technician to be based in Gladstone. This is a permanent full time role working in the continuous operations roster (lifestyle shift roster, 2 weekends a month). You will be joining a customer-focused team, truly dynamic in leading the way in delivering 27 million tonnes per annum and competing with the best in the marketplace.
To be considered for this role you will have:
Required
Qualified in relevant trade (Mechanical Fitter).
Current unrestricted Australian drivers’ licence for a manual light motor vehicle.
Experience with shutdown and major plant and equipment maintenance.
HR Truck, Forklift, EWP and Franna Crane Licence.
Experience with maintaining equipment such as mobile plant, conveyors, rail bulk unloading, stacker and reclaiming and ship loader.
Ability and preparedness to be trained in operating large earth moving equipment such as Dozer, Loader and Skid Steer.
Exposure to CMMS.
Also, you will have a proven record of the following attributes:

An understanding of operational efficiency / productivity;
Flexibility in working additional shifts
