Trade Fitters (Assembly) – Day Shift – Pinkenba

We're looking for Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitters to join a well-known heavy engineering company based in Pinkenba.

n

This is a great opportunity to work on the assembly and reconditioning of industrial gearboxes used in mining and other large-scale industries. If you're hands‐on, reliable, and take pride in quality work, this could be the perfect fit for you.

- $51.40 p/h Day shift 5:30am – 2:00pm
n

About the role

n

n
- Assemble and recondition heavy‐duty gearboxes
n
- Follow detailed instructions and engineering drawings
n
- Use precision tools like torque wrenches and micrometers
n
- Maintain correct alignments, tolerances, and oil sealing
n
- Work as part of a small, supportive team
n
- Keep your work area clean and safe
n

What you'll need





n

n
- Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering (Fitting & Turning)
n
- Valuable mechanical knowledge and attention to detail
n
- Forklift ticket ESSENTIAL
n
- Experience operating overhead cranes safely
n
- Dogger or rigger licence (preferred)
n
- Able to work safely and follow procedures
n
- Have experience with measuring using micrometer.
n
- Have some experience with stripping of components and assessing.
n
- Reliable transport to get to site on time
n
- Able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol test
n
