Job Description

We are currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Care Worker to support our My Aged Care and DVA (Department of Veteran Affairs) in Bendigo. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about providing high-quality, person-centred care and can communicate effectively with clients in the community.

About the Role

n

As a Personal Care Worker, you will deliver in-home support to DVA and elderly clients, helping them maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life in their own homes.

n

Please note that a support dog will be present during any DVA shifts.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Provide personal care including showering, grooming, and dressing
n
- Assist with mobility and transfers
n
- Support with meal preparation and light household duties
n
- Provide companionship and emotional support
n
- Follow individual care plans and report any changes in client condition
n
- Be compassionate to clients' needs
n
- Communicate well with Care Partners
n
- Be computer and Phone App Savvy
n

About You

n

n
- Previous experience in aged care, home care,



or community support
n
- Peg tube management - preferred but not essential as training will be provided
n
- Stoma (Ileostomy and Urostomy)- preferred but not essential as training will be provided
n
- Manual handling (hoist, slide transfers)- preferred but not essential as training will be provided
n
- A caring, respectful, and patient approach
n
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
n
- Current driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
n
- Current National Police Check and relevant clearances (or willingness to obtain)
n
