Senior Production/Manufacturing Engineer

An established global manufacturer is looking for a Production Engineer to join its engineering and manufacturing team in Western Sydney.

This is a hands‑on role focused on improving manufacturing processes, supporting Lean initiatives and helping the facility operate safely, efficiently and reliably. You will work closely with engineering and operational teams to identify improvement opportunities and turn them into practical, measurable outcomes.

The role You will:

- Evaluate manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and safety
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Support day‑to‑day Lean manufacturing activities
- Identify process waste and cost‑saving opportunities
- Assist with equipment upgrades, replacements and capital expenditure proposals
- Collect and analyse production data to support KPI development
- Prepare KPI reports, presentations and technical documentation
- Work with manufacturing teams to investigate non‑conformances and implement corrective and preventative actions
- Support internal quality and environmental audits




- Help ensure equipment complies with relevant industry and Australian standards
- Engage employees in Lean strategy, team briefings and change initiatives
- Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, contractors and technical consultants

The role You will:

About you We are looking for someone with:





- A degree or relevant qualification in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial or Production Engineering
- Experience within a manufacturing or production environment
- An understanding of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong analytical and practical problem‑solving skills
- The ability to interpret production data and identify opportunities for improvement
- Experience preparing technical documents, reports and presentations
- A collaborative approach and the confidence to engage with employees across the production floor
- A strong commitment to workplace health, safety, quality and environmental standards

Experience supporting capital projects, equipment improvements, quality systems or internal audits would be advantageous.
