About the Role
n
n
- Based out of our Mackay branch and working with a team of Fixed Fire Protection Technicians across Central Qld Region.
n
- Responsible for fire systems for our current and new customers focusing on service maintenance, installation, modification and repair of Fire Detection Systems incorporating special hazards & Emergency / Exit lights.
n
- Surveying customer premises and recommending fire protection and safety systems and equipment.
n
- Technical Assistance/backup for On Call Technicians.
n

About You
n
n
- Experience working as an Electrical Technician, ideally in the Fire industry.
n
- Australian Citizenship or Australian Permanent Resident (PR).
n
- Current QLD Electrical Licence.
n
- Current driver's licence.
n
- QBCC Licence (Electrical Stream, Special Hazards Stream).
n
- Ability to obtain and undergo regularly Standard 11/Coal Board Medical.
n
- Able to undergo a National Police Check.
n
- A sound knowledge of the applicable Australian Standards relevant to Fixed Systems fire protection equipment is preferred.
n
- A Fire Protection Accreditation Scheme accreditation and Cabling Licence are ideal, but not mandatory.
n
- Positive time management skills.
n
- Great attitude and willingness to deliver for our customer and client base.
n

Desired Attributes You Have
n
n
- Strong knowledge of AS 1851, AS 1670, AS 3000.
n
- Previous experience in fire systems inspections & maintenance.
n
- Up to date product and industry knowledge with Tyco, Notifier and other prominent fire system brands.
n
- Working at Heights Licence.
n
- Confined Space Licence.
n
