The successful applicant will be responsible for operating the GE Lunar Prodigy system to perform bone mineral density (BMD) scans, ensuring high-quality imaging, accurate data acquisition, and patient safety. The role requires adherence to clinical protocols and effective communication with patients and healthcare providers.
Key responsibilities
- Operate and maintain the GE Lunar Prodigy BMD scanner in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and clinic protocols
- Prepare and position patients for scans, ensuring comfort and correct procedure execution
- Acquire, process, and review scan results for accuracy and completeness
- Maintain accurate records and assist with reporting where required
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, including radiation safety requirements
- Coordinate with clinic staff to manage bookings and workflow efficiently
About you
- Relevant tertiary qualification in medical imaging, radiography, or a related field
- MUST have current accreditation/registration (e.g., with ASMIRT, MRPBA, or equivalent)
- Experience operating bone densitometry equipment is desirable, but specific experience with the GE Lunar Prodigy is not essential — training will be provided
- Robust attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
