This is a unique and specialised role that sits within our broader nursing team, with a primary focus on supporting the Breast Imaging service and procedures undertaken in our department.

This is not a standard nursing position - we are looking for someone with strong clinical capability and a keen interest in breast care and imaging. Candidates with prior experience as a breast care nurse or in a similar clinical setting will be highly regarded.

Role Overview
n
In this role, you will work closely with our Breast Radiologists and multidisciplinary team to coordinate and support breast imaging procedures, ensuring a seamless and compassionate patient experience.

Key responsibilities include:
n
n
- Communicating and liaising closely with Breast Radiologists regarding all breast procedures
n
- Coordinating patient imaging schedules and managing bookings for breast imaging procedures
n
- Ensuring all pre-booking checklists are completed accurately
n
- Acting as a key point of contact for patients and clinical staff throughout the imaging process
n
- Managing patient recalls where required and following up abnormal results
n
- Obtaining relevant external imaging for procedures and uploading to PACS for Radiologist review where possible
n

What we're looking for
n
n
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse
n
- Previous clinical experience (hospital or clinic setting essential)
n
- Strong organisational and coordination skills
n
- Excellent communication and patient care abilities
n
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
n
- Experience as a breast care nurse or in women's health (highly regarded)
n
