Operations Manager / Production Manager - Manufacturing

An established manufacturer is entering its next phase of growth and is seeking a capable Operations & Production Leader to take ownership of day-to-day manufacturing performance. This role will strengthen operational capability, improve efficiency, and support continued expansion.

n

Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will play a key role in coordinating people, processes, and production outcomes across manufacturing, warehousing, and other key functions. This position suits a practical leader who enjoys being on the floor, driving results and continuously improving how things are done.

n

This is a permanent, full-time position offering consistent weekday hours (early finish afternoons) and a balanced approach to overtime.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

- Lead and coordinate manufacturing and warehouse operations
n
- Allocate resources effectively to meet production deadlines and quality standards
n
- Monitor output, efficiency, and workflow performance
n
- Work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure smooth operations
n
- Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements to systems, processes, and materials
n




- Champion safety standards and ensure compliance across all operations
n
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
n

What We're Looking For

- Proven experience leading operations or production teams in a manufacturing environment
n
- Strong organisational and planning capability
n
- Confidence using production, inventory, and reporting systems
n
- Exposure to lean or continuous improvement methodologies
n
- Mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills
n
- A proactive, hands‐on leadership style
n
- Forklift licence advantageous but not essential
n
