Project Manager – Cloud

n

We are seeking a capable and motivated Project Manager to support the delivery of cloud and application modernisation initiatives within a leading higher education organisation. This role is well suited to someone who has hands‐on exposure to transitioning legacy applications and supporting their operation on AWS and/or Azure, and who brings a positive, adaptable mindset to complex environments.

- $140,000 base + super
n
- 2-year Fixed Term Contract, with possibility of extension

- Hybrid working model, 2 days in office.

THE ROLE

n

n
- Support and manage end-to-end delivery of cloud and application modernisation projects
n
- Assist with transitioning legacy applications to run effectively on AWS and/or Azure
n
- Coordinate project planning, scheduling, dependencies, risks, and issues using PPM tools
n
- Use Jira to track delivery progress, actions, and milestones
n
- Work closely with technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery
n
- Support governance, reporting, and compliance with organisational standards
n
- Contribute to business readiness, change, and adoption activities
n
- Maintain explicit communication across IT, security, and business teams
n

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

n

n
- Experience supporting or delivering IT, cloud, or application‐related projects
n
- Exposure to legacy systems and an understanding of modernisation or cloud transition concepts
n
- Practical experience working with AWS and/or Azure environments
n
- Experience using PPM tools and Jira
n
- A positive attitude, strong learning mindset, and adaptability in changing environments
n
- Solid stakeholder engagement and communication skills
n
- Understanding of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery approaches
n
- Experience in higher education or other large, complex organisations will be highly regarded but is not essential.
n
