About the role

n

Are you ready to add your keen rehabilitation skills and experience to a vibrant multidisciplinary team?An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and enthusiasticGrade 2 Occupational Therapist to join the friendly and supportiveOccupational Therapy team attheYarra RangesCommunity Rehabilitation Program.

n

You will be part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, providing evidence based, goal-directed rehabilitation to clients in their own home, in the therapy centre and in the community.

n

This fixed term position will suit an Occupational Therapist who has a passion for rehabilitation and helping adults to achieve their goals, can work autonomously and a vital team member. Opportunities exist in various areas such as neurological rehabilitation, musculoskeletal rehabilitation and Falls and Balance.

n

You will be supported within a strong supervision structure and will be encouraged to engage in professional development and journal clubs to support evidence-based practice.

About you

n

To be successful in this role you will possess:

n

- Strong commitment tohigh qualityclient care.
n




- High level communication skills, both written and verbal, to enable development of good rapport with clients and staff.
n
- High levelof assessment andevidence-basedOT intervention skills.
n
- Experience in managing a mixed caseload using a client-centred approach.
n
- Experience working within a community setting.
n
- Experienceinneurological rehabilitation.
n

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in theAustralian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role, and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
