Hospital Pharmacists
n
As part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, you'll deliver high‐quality pharmaceutical care to inpatients and outpatients, provide expert clinical advice, and contribute to medication safety and quality improvement initiatives across the region.
n
About the role
n
n
- Providing clinical pharmacy services to designated wards and patients in line with national standards.
n
- Dispensing and counseling for inpatients and outpatients.
n
- Supervising technical staff and supporting a safe, compliant pharmacy service.
n
- Delivering drug information and education to patients and staff.
n
- Contributing to medication safety programs, audits and guideline development.
n
- Participating in rotations across NT hospitals and occasional outreach to remote communities.
n

About you
n
n
- A recognised degree in Pharmacy and registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
n
- Sound clinical pharmacy knowledge and current practice skills.
n
- Robust communication, problem‐solving and teamwork abilities.
n
- Commitment to ongoing learning and continuous quality improvement (CQI).
n
- The ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultures and to travel within the NT as required.

Pharmacy Technicians
n

NT Health is seeking enthusiastic and reliable pharmacy technicians to support the delivery of high‐quality pharmaceutical services.
n
About the role
n
n
- Assisting with dispensing, manufacturing, and pre‐packing of medicines.
n
- Supporting pharmacists in the coordination of prescriptions, medication lists, and stock across hospital and community settings.
n
- Managing purchasing, inventory, and supplier liaison to ensure efficient stock control.
n
- Helping to manage PBS, HSD, EFC and SAS medicines in line with program requirements.
n
- Contributing to quality improvement activities, performance monitoring and safety standards.
n
- Participating in rostered weekend and public holiday work as part of a supportive team.
n
n
About you
n
n
- Certificate III in Health Systems Assistance – Hospital Pharmacy (or willingness to complete within 18 months).
n
- Knowledge of NT medicines, poisons and therapeutic goods legislation.
n
- Experience with hospital pharmacy systems, stock control, and PBS/HSD processes.
n
- Strong attention to detail, problem‐solving and time‐management skills.
n
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
n
- The ability to perform manual handling tasks (up to 12 kg) safely and effectively.
n
- A commitment to cultural awareness and working respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds.
n

Pharmacy Technician (T1)
n
This hands‐on role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills and a genuine interest in pharmacy operations. Working under the supervision of a pharmacist, you'll assist in dispensing and distributing medicines that support better health outcomes across the Territory.

About the role
n
n
- Assisting with labelling, dispensing, and pre‐packing medicines under pharmacist supervision.
n
- Managing bulk distribution and accurate recording of pharmaceutical stock.
n
- Receiving and checking deliveries, entering data, and resolving supplier discrepancies.
n
- Maintaining stock rotation, monitoring expiry dates, and ensuring accurate inventory control.
n
- Responding to non‐clinical enquiries about medicine supply, storage and availability.
n
- Supporting a safe, compliant workplace by following all quality and WHS standards.
n
n
About you
n
n
- Strong arithmetic and computer skills, with attention to accuracy and detail.
n
- Experience in stock control or inventory management.
n
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
n
- The ability to perform manual handling duties safely.
n
- A respectful approach when working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
n
- Knowledge of medicine names (generic and trade).
n
- Previous experience in a pharmacy environment or with computerised dispensing.
n
- Certificate III in Health Service Assistance (Hospital Pharmacy) or equivalent qualification.
n
- Experience in an Australian hospital pharmacy setting.
n
