About the role

n

Vinova are working with a leading critical infrastructure business seeking Service Technicians to join its data centre operations team in Melbourne.

n

Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, you'll help manage the day-to-day operation of critical facilities and ensure essential infrastructure remains safe, secure and continuously available.

n

The role combines technical troubleshooting with system monitoring, maintenance coordination and contractor management across electrical, mechanical, fire and other critical infrastructure. You'll work within a 24/7 rotational shift roster and play a key role in responding to alarms, faults and operational issues.

Duties

n

n
- Monitor critical infrastructure through BMS/EMS platforms and respond to alarms, faults and abnormal conditions
n
- Coordinate preventative and reactive maintenance across electrical, mechanical, fire, UPS, generators and cooling systems
n
- Troubleshoot critical service issues,



support root cause analysis and elevate risks that could affect facility availability
n
- Manage contractors, maintenance records and site activities in line with strict safety and operational procedures
n

Skills & experience

n

n
- Trade qualification or proven experience within data centres, critical facilities or another mission-critical workplace
n
- Experience with electrical, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration, facilities or similar technical infrastructure
n
- Exposure to BMS, EMS, SCADA or other electronic monitoring and control systems
n
- Ability to coordinate contractors and work confidently within strict operational and safety procedures
n
- Australian citizenship with the ability to obtain an NV1 Security Clearance
n

n

Prior data centre experience, HV switching certification and exposure to UPS, generators, CRAC units and fire systems would be highly regarded.
