- Day Shift: $45.67 per hour | 6:00am – 2:10pm
- Afternoon Shift: $52.52 per hour | 2:00pm – 10:10pm
The Opportunity
We are seeking experienced Mobi-Con and Straddle Crane Operators to join our steel manufacturing client based in Sunshine.
The primary focus of this role is the safe and efficient operation of Mobi-Con and Straddle Cranes to move and position steel products across the site.
You will also be required to operate overhead cranes, and when crane work is unavailable, assist the production team with general operational duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Mobi-Con and Straddle Cranes safely and efficiently
- Operate overhead cranes as required
- Load, unload and position steel products
- Safely manoeuvre steel products around the site
- Conduct pre-start checks and report equipment issues
- Assist production teams with general duties when crane work is unavailable
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area
- Follow all site safety procedures and requirements
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and operational teams
Essential Requirements
- Current Crane Licence – essential
- Current LF Forklift Licence – essential
- Previous Mobi-Con and/or Straddle Crane experience
- Previous overhead crane experience
- Must successfully pass a full drug and alcohol test
- Must be an Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident
- Experience in steel manufacturing or heavy industrial environments highly regarded
- Strong safety awareness
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling and general operational duties
- Reliable, punctual and willing to work as part of a team
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a busy operational environment
