Support Services Laundry & Kitchen Hand | Nanyima

The Role

Reporting to the Manager as the Support Services Worker, you'll support weekday operations by cleaning resident rooms and shared spaces, managing laundry services, and maintaining infection control standards across our 51-bed home.

We are offering Part-Time opportunities for Support Services Staff. Our Support Service Workers provide all hospitality aspects of our Aged Care home such as catering, cleaning and laundry services. You will build strong relationships with our residents, families and Care Staff contributing the optimisation of resident choice and essentially creating a strong sense of home in accordance with our values supporting our residents quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

Cleaning & Laundry:





- Maintaining legislated safety, quality, and hygiene standards
- Cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, and living areas
- Cleaning communal and dining areas
- Cleaning and sorting laundry
- Maintaining adequate supplies of toilet paper, soap, and other cleaning and hygiene supplies for resident use.
- Adhering to infection control principles, WHS requirements including the safe storage and use of chemicals and complete cleaning requirements according to facility schedules
- Completing required documentation and reporting

Kitchen Hand:

- Preparation and presentation of dietary services, including meals and drinks
- Assisting the chef with meal preparation, cleaning and general kitchen duties
- Distribution of meals to residents & dining room services
- All aspects of cleaning throughout the resident rooms and facility
- Completing required documentation and reporting
- Ensure handwashing supplies are available and replenished
- Contribute to an effective laundry service including item checking & labelling

What you will bring

- Experience in cleaning and laundry services, kitchen hand is desirable
- Australian Working Rights, Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen, no sponsorships available
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Solid attention to detail
- NDIS Worker Check or willing to obtain
- An understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards, and Outcomes is highly regarded but not essential
