The Position

Psychiatry Registrar (Part-Time Permanent)
n
The Hader Clinic is seeking a compassionate and motivated Psychiatry Registrar to join our multidisciplinary team in a permanent part-time position. This is an excellent opportunity for a registrar looking for flexibility, supportive clinical governance, and the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals receiving specialist mental health and addiction treatment.

About the Role

- Permanent Part-Time (2-3 days per week) Flexible working days to suit your availability
n
- Hours: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm or 9:00 am - 5:00 pm (with on-call responsibilities)

- Commence as soon as possible

- Based in the Geelong region
n
n
You will work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team, providing psychiatric assessment, treatment planning and ongoing care for patients within a supportive clinical environment.

Health Service

The Hader Clinic is a specialist addiction and mental health service dedicated to helping individuals overcome substance dependence through compassionate, evidence-based care.
n
They provide comprehensive treatment for alcohol and other drug addiction, recognising that recovery involves addressing both the physical aspects of addiction and the underlying psychological, emotional and social factors.
n
There is approximately 6-8 detox patients per day, who generally stay for up to 7 days.
n
The multidisciplinary team delivers holistic, patient-centred care across the continuum of recovery, including medical assessment,
withdrawal management, psychiatric care, psychological therapies, relapse prevention and ongoing aftercare. We also support individuals experiencing co-occurring mental health conditions through an integrated dual diagnosis approach.

Working collaboratively with psychiatrists, addiction medicine specialists, GPs, nurses, psychologists, counsellors and allied health professionals, we develop individualised treatment plans that empower patients to achieve sustainable recovery and improved wellbeing.

Essential Criteria
n
To be successful, you will:

- Be registered (or eligible for registration) with AHPRA
n
- Be undertaking accredited Psychiatry Registrar training or have equivalent experience
n
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
- Enjoy working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
n
- Be committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred mental health care
n
