About Queensland Pathways State CollegeQueensland Pathways State College is a senior secondary school supporting young people aged 15 to 18 years (minimum Year 10), who have found it challenging to thrive in mainstream schooling. Many of our students have experienced complex life circumstances, such as trauma, mental health challenges, or housing instability, that have interrupted their learning journey.At Queensland Pathways State College, we believe in every student's potential. We foster a strong sense of belonging and connection, ensuring that every learner is known, valued, and heard.We deliver a 12-month senior transitions program focused on literacy, numeracy, workplace readiness, and wellbeing. Our goal is to guide every student toward achieving a Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) and transitioning successfully into further education, training, or employment.We work in close partnership with families, community organisations, and support services to provide wraparound care and personalised pathways.About the RoleAn chance exists for a Teacher Aide, locally known as an Education Support Officer, to contribute to the provision of a quality educational service by assisting and supporting teachers with preparation and enhancement of learning materials at our Bundamba campus (Mary & Byrne Streets Bundamba 4304- D Block Bundamba TAFE).Key Responsibilities Include:Assisting in the supervision of education activities, under the direction of a teacherWorking with small groups as well as individual studentsCommunicating effectively and displaying high level of interpersonal skills to function as an effective team memberDisplaying respect and empathy for students with high level needsDisplaying confidentiality, tact,



reliability and sensitivity to students and their familiesYou may also be called upon to:Assist with the administrational tasks and stocktaking of equipment and resourcesUndertake clerical assistance duties including typing teachers' notes and programs, photocopying teaching materials, collation and duplication of exam papers, recording of examination results, compiling students' results records, assisting in organising off-site activities and assist in financial documentationsAssist in preparing, storing, distributing and clearing away teaching equipment and materialsContribute to the welfare, health and safety of students, including the delivery of first aidBecoming a key link at disseminating information to parents/carers of the campusAbout YouThe following skills would be beneficial for someone applying for this position:A passion for working independently and collaboratively with a small but passionate team of teachersProficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Canva (or similar)Strong verbal and written communication, displaying a high level of interpersonal skills to function as an effective team memberAttention to detail and ability to manage classroom operations effectivelyHighly organisedCommitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for all studentsEmpathy and respect for students with diverse needs and abilitiesPrevious experience in working with students in a similar position is favouredInterested?
