About the Role:

n

A rare prospect exists for an experienced, operationally focused General Manager to join a well-established, privately owned manufacturing business on the Gold Coast.

n

Reporting directly to the Director, you will take ownership of the operational performance of the business, leading manufacturing operations while identifying opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and profitability.

n

You will mentor and support an experienced leadership team, implement continuous improvement initiatives, strengthen systems and processes and ensure the business continues to deliver exceptional outcomes for its customers.

n

This role requires a commercially astute leader who enjoys working in a hands-on environment and can successfully balance strategic thinking with day-to-day operational leadership.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the overall operations of the manufacturing business.
n
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production, workflow and systems.
n




- Manage business performance, budgets and P&L.;
n
- Develop, mentor and support the leadership team.
n
- Build a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
n
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and operational capability.
n
- Oversee inventory management, purchasing and cost control.
n
- Maintain strong customer relationships while ensuring quality and on-time delivery.
n
- Support the ongoing growth and expansion of the business.
n

Skills & Experience:

n

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

n

n
- Previous experience as a General Manager, Operations Manager or senior manufacturing leader.
n
- Previous leadership experience within a privately owned family business.
n
- Strong operational leadership within a manufacturing environment.
n
- Proven experience driving continuous improvement, operational efficiency and cost control.
n
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret and manage P&L; performance.
n
- A collaborative, hands-on leadership style with a passion for developing high-performing teams.
n
- Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
n
