The role
As a Customer Care Representative, you'll play a vital role in supporting customers experiencing financial hardship, vulnerability, overdue accounts and complex account issues.
You will work closely with customers to understand their circumstances, negotiate suitable payment arrangements, identify appropriate assistance options and help resolve account concerns.
You will balance compassionate customer care with responsible credit and debt management practices, ensuring positive outcomes for customers and Gippsland Water.
This is a diverse role where no two days are the same. You'll support customers through challenging situations while contributing to the effective management of customer accounts, debt recovery activities and service delivery outcomes.
What you’ll bring
Experience providing high-quality customer service and resolving complex customer enquiries.
Strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Ability to confidently manage sensitive or difficult conversations with empathy and professionalism.
Experience negotiating payment arrangements, account resolutions or financial outcomes.
Sound administrative and computer skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to investigate issues, assess options and make balanced decisions that consider both customer and business needs.
Experience supporting customers experiencing financial hardship, vulnerability, credit management or debt recovery activities will be highly regarded.
Shortlisted applicants may be required to undertake a National Police Check.
