Are you a detail-oriented Bookkeeper and Payroll Specialist looking for a new challenge?

n

We are seeking a dedicated professional for an accounting practice, to help maintain the financial health of their clients. This dual-focused role requires you to manage day-to-day financial transactions and ensure payroll compliance. Reporting to the Bookkeeping Manager, you will be responsible for timely task completion and explicit communication with our team and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

n

- Bookkeeping: Reconcile accounts, manage accounts payable and receivable, verify source documents, and prepare and lodge BAS and IAS statements.
n
- Payroll: Oversee payroll processes, interpret awards and legislation, and act as a point of contact for complex payroll queries. You will troubleshoot discrepancies, manage compliance, and ensure all Fair Work, superannuation, and payroll tax obligations are met.

What We're Looking For:

n

n
- Bookkeeping certification (TAFE or equivalent) is essential.
n
- Working knowledge of Xero Practice Manager, Xero Client Ledger, MYOB, & MS Office
n
- Experience with payroll compliance, award interpretation, and Fair Work regulations.
n
- A strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and a proactive approach to identifying process improvements.
n
