Position Information
Manilla is located 35 minutes drive from Tamworth. Current enrolment for 2026 is 235 students with Secondary enrolments a small margin above Primary. The school is a split site Central school, having a Primary and Secondary Campus that are located 400 metres apart. 38% of students identify as being of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent. As a K to 12 school, Manilla offers students the prospect to complete their entire school education in their local community. The school has strong relationships with community and families and caters for the induvial learning needs of students very effectively.
A whole school literacy program was implemented several years ago with professional learning provided to staff which has changed the culture of the school and equipped students with skills and the resilience to attempt written tasks. Student outcomes relating to writing have improved markedly and a numeracy program implemented during the last two years is also having a very positive impact on student outcomes. There is also a focus on Explicit Teaching.
School and community values are reinforced through a system of Pastoral care programs, Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) and Zones of Regulations programs.
The school prides itself on the success of transitioning students into post schools pathways of their choosing, be that employment, TAFE or University.
Total Remuneration Package: Remuneration package valued at up to $156,253.00. Base salary ranges from $90,177.00 to $137,861.00, plus leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation. Base salary rates above the minimum are available depending on experience.

Specific Selection Criteria
- Approval to teach Mathematics 7-12
- Demonstrated ability to differentiate the curriculum to meet the individual learning needs of students and focus on student growth.
- Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents in a rural setting.
