TRUCK TECH is looking for a Workshop Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our Chipping Norton workshop. Working alongside the Branch Manager, you'll play a key role in driving productivity, supporting and developing technicians, and ensuring every customer receives the exceptional service we're known for.

About the Role
n
As Workshop Manager, you'll be responsible for the overall performance of the workshop, ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
Leading and motivating the workshop team
n
Planning and coordinating daily workflow
n
Allocating work to technicians based on skill set and workload
n
Monitoring workshop productivity and job progress
n
Working closely with the Service and Parts teams to maximise efficiency
n
Managing workshop logistics, subcontractors and vehicle movements
n
Coaching, mentoring and developing technicians
n
Maintaining safety, compliance and quality standards
n
Acting as second-in-charge to the Branch Manager
n
About You
n
To be successful, you'll have:
n
Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (essential)
n
Previous Workshop Manager, Leading Hand or similar leadership experience
n
Strong heavy vehicle mechanical background
n
Proven ability to lead teams and improve workshop performance
n
Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
n
HR or HC Licence (preferred)
n
