About the Role
n
Chubb is looking for a technically capable, delivery-focused engineer to join our team, working across critical‐infrastructure environments. You'll play a key role in the engineering, delivery, commissioning and handover of integrated security systems designed for Type 1A and other high‐security applications.
n
This is an chance for someone who enjoys being close to the project delivery; solving technical issues, coordinating stakeholders, supporting site teams and seeing complex systems successfully commissioned.
n
An active NV1 Security Clearance is essential.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
In this senior project engineering role, you will:
n
n
- Take technical ownership of electronic security projects from design review through to commissioning and client handover.
n
- Engineer, configure, test and troubleshoot integrated access control, CCTV, intrusion and security management systems.
n
- Support project managers and site teams to deliver projects safely, on time, to specification and to a high standard of quality.
n
- Review technical scopes, drawings, specifications and customer requirements, identifying risks and practical delivery solutions early.
n
- Coordinate with customers, consultants, subcontractors, technicians and internal teams to resolve technical and project challenges.
n
- Lead or support Factory Acceptance Testing, site testing, commissioning, defect rectification and system handover.
n
- Prepare clear technical documentation, including test plans, configuration records, commissioning documentation and as‐built packs.
n
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers and technicians across the project lifecycle.
n

What you'll Bring
n
You are an experienced Project Engineer, Security Engineer or Senior Technician with a strong track record delivering complex electronic security projects.
n
To be successful, you will have:
n
n
- Current NV1 Security Clearance - Mandatory.
n
- Experience delivering electronic security projects in critical infrastructure or high‐security environments.
n
- Strong practical experience with enterprise access control, CCTV/VMS, intruder detection and integrated security platforms.
n
- Experience with one or more of the following platforms:
n
- LenelS2
n
- Milestone
n
- The ability to manage technical details while keeping delivery outcomes, customer needs and project deadlines in focus.
n
- Strong commissioning, fault-finding and system‐integration capability.
n
- A sound understanding of IP networking, including switches, VLANs, IP addressing, PoE and connectivity troubleshooting.
n
- Confidence communicating with customers, consultants, project teams and field technicians.
n
- Strong documentation skills and pride in delivering quality, compliant project outcomes.
n

Pre-Employment Requirements

Appointment to this role is subject to the successful completion of a mandatory pre‐employment Medical Assessment, Drug and Alcohol screening, and National Police Check. The successful applicant may also be required to obtain and maintain additional security clearances relevant to the role.
