About the Role

Join Swinburne University of Technology as a Research Coordinator and play an important role in supporting research activity and helping research teams achieve meaningful outcomes.

Working closely with the Manager, Research Services, Associate Dean Research and research-active staff, you'll provide high-quality research administration across the School, with opportunities to contribute to university-wide initiatives.

You'll help keep research activities running smoothly by:

- Coordinating and maintaining research output data and supporting research reporting.
- Providing research and contract administration in line with funding body and external requirements.
- Supporting compliance with research processes, policies and procedures.
- Assisting with financial administration and monitoring.
- Working collaboratively with researchers and internal and external stakeholders.
- Responding to time-critical requests, managing competing priorities and ensuring deadlines are met.

About You

You're an organised and solutions-focused professional who enjoys working with a diverse range of people and managing a variety of priorities. You'll bring:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong MS Office skills, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams, along with experience using databases and data management systems.
- Experience in financial administration.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.




- The ability to interpret and communicate policies, procedures and requirements within a complex workplace.
- Experience in research or contract administration, compliance and related processes.

Qualifications

Completion of a bachelor's degree with extensive relevant executive administration experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
