Technical Lead: Table Grapes

Are you a passionate agricultural professional with deep experience in table grape cultivation? Our client, a leading player in the global fruit sector, is looking for a Technical Lead to support licensed growers and lead the implementation of best practices in viticulture across Australia.

Requirements

n

n
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, with major in Viticulture preferred.
n
- Minimum 6 years' experience in table grape cultivation.
n
- Strong understanding of the global fruit industry.
n
- Strong computer literacy in MS Office applications and statistical analysis programs.
n
- Fluent English (Spanish desirable but not essential).
n
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
n
- Ability to work with international teams and adapt to changing conditions.
n
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel and relocate.
n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Provide after-sales technical support to licensed growers in the Sunraysia region.
n
- Monitor vine growth stages, irrigation, pruning, canopy & crop management.
n
- Advise growers during all critical phenological stages.
n
- Develop, update, and implement varietal production protocols, including:n n
- Canopy management
n
- E crop adjustments
n
- Harvest maturity parameters




n
- Quality and technical specifications for growers/packhouses
n
- Promote and support new grape varieties based on performance.
n

n
- Conduct continual grower visits and build solid relationships.
n
- Generate weekly visit reports via the company's technical reporting system.
n
- Assist with field audits and updates for the grower database and contract schedules.
n
- Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance, Commercial, and international teams.
n
- Participate in global company events (1–3 per year).
n
- Organise and host technical workshops, meetings, and open days.
n
- Fully support development of pipeline varieties and new selections in the territory.
n
