LET'S EXPLORE THE ROLE
n
As a Health & Safety Business Partner, you'll work closely with operational leaders and project teams to embed practical, effective safety practices across a dynamic national environment.
n
Supporting a defined business line, you'll provide hands‐on guidance across field operations, projects and service delivery activities—ensuring risks are identified early, controls are implemented effectively, and safety remains front of mind.
n
From site visits and coaching frontline teams through to supporting audits,
systems and incident investigations, you'll play a key role in continuously improving safety performance and strengthening our safety culture.
n
Key Responsibilities:
n
n
- Partner with operational leaders to embed risk management into planning and delivery
n
- Support project start‐up activities, including review of risk assessments and safety documentation
n
- Conduct site visits, inspections and field interactions to coach and influence safe behaviours
n
- Lead and support incident investigations, identifying root causes and driving corrective actions
n
- Contribute to ISO audit preparation, internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives
n
- Maintain and enhance HSE management system documentation, tools and processes
n
- Analyse safety data and contribute to reporting, insights and performance improvement
n
- Support contractor safety processes, onboarding and compliance activities
n

n
You're a proactive H&S; professional who thrives in operational environments and enjoys building trusted relationships across field teams and leadership. You bring a practical, solutions‐focused approach and can confidently translate safety requirements into real‐world application.
n
You'll bring:
n
n
- Experience in health and safety within telecommunications, construction, infrastructure or similar multi‐site operations
n
- Strong understanding of WHS legislation, risk management and industry best practice
n
- Demonstrated capability in incident investigation,
including identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions
n
- Experience supporting audits and working with integrated management systems such as ISO 45001
n
- Confidence conducting field inspections, audits and safety interactions with frontline teams
n
- Strong skills in risk assessment, hazard identification and control implementation
n
- Ability to interpret and communicate safety data, trends and insights
n
- Well‐developed written communication skills for reports, investigations and safety documentation
n
- Proficiency across Microsoft 365 tools and experience with safety or incident management systems
n
- Qualifications such as a Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety are essential, with further study or auditing qualifications highly regarded.
