Our Port Adelaide site is seeking a trade qualified Refrigeration Technician/Supervisor to join our growing global team, as we take on new projects and expand our services.
n
This position will involve:
n
n
- Working on the maintenance of rail air-conditioning units (HVAC)
n
- Dismantling HVAC units (including degas) and cleaning components
n
- Copper brazing including compressor installation and the installation of other main components
n
- Clean, pressure test and recharge the refrigeration system
n
- Testing of HVAC units (Incoming and Outgoing)
n
- Maintain refrigerant handling reports for ARC
n
- Ensuring parts are on-hand and ordered for all work
n
- Manual Handling – using hand tools, hoists and trolleys
n
- Assembling units
n
- Participating in pre-work briefings and proactively making suggestions for improvement
n
n
To be considered for the role,
you will hold the following skills and experience:
n
n
- Certificate III in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration
n
- Rail Air-conditioning experience and knowledge would be an advantage
n
- A current Refrigerant Handling Licence or willing to obtain
n
- Ability to lead a small team
n
- Have a keen eye for detail
n
- Ability to recognise and solve service/maintenance problems
n
- The experience to complete assigned tasks on time and to a high quality
n
- Current Electrical B Class Licence or higher
n
n
Our workshops must deliver repaired and overhauled train HVAC units to clients on time with rapid turnaround, whilst maintaining impeccable product quality.
