We're recruiting on behalf of a VC-backed Australian start-up at the cutting edge of life sciences and software. Our client is revolutionising genomic sequencing through the development of synthetic spike-in DNA/RNA controls and a brand-current bioinformatics platform. This is a high-impact opportunity for a Senior Front End Developer to join a multidisciplinary product team and shape the future of precision diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Design and implement modern, scalable front-end solutions with a strong focus on UI/UX and usability
n
- Work closely with backend engineers to integrate APIs and bring data visualisations and insights to life
n
- Optimise performance and implement best practices in accessibility,



maintainability, and code quality
n
- Contribute to product design discussions and participate in code reviews and technical planning sessions
n
- Help define and enforce front-end coding standards, architecture, and testing frameworks
n

n

What We're Looking For

n

n
- 5+ years of experience in front-end software development
n
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive web design principles
n
- Ability to write clean, well-structured, maintainable code
n
- Comfortable working in a rapid-paced, agile start-up environment
n
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
n
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
n
- Background or interest in data visualisation, genomics, or scientific applications
n
- Understanding of API design and system architecture
n
