About: We are seeking a talent pool of IT Field Service Technicians to support a major mining client with both Perth CBD-based and regional site requirements. While your base will be in Perth, you'll also provide ad-hoc FIFO support to regional WA and QLD, assisting with IT infrastructure and Village Entertainment Systems. Key Responsibilitiesnn
- Provide hands-on desktop, network, and Audio Visual (AV) support to end users across various shifts.
n
- Travel to regional WA and QLD sites as needed to maintain and support communication and entertainment systems.
n
- Install and replace TVs, access points, and other infrastructure hardware.
n
- Support wireless and GPON network technologies as well as PAGA and CCTV systems.
n
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, network, and AV issues effectively, ensuring minimal downtime.
n
- Maintain accurate documentation including ticket resolution notes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
n
- Assist in infrastructure projects, contributing to planning, implementation, and improvement initiatives.
n
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and deliver excellent service.
n
- Provide FIFO backfill support to other DXC clients as required.
n





Technologies You'll Support IP Networking (Cisco & others) Wireless Networking (Ruckus, Cisco, MicroTik) Firewalls CCTV, PAGA Teleste (MATV/DOCSIS), Calix (GPON) DC Power Systems, including DELV Essential Skills & Experiencenn
- Strong experience in desktop, network, and Audio Visual (AV) support.
n
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.
n
- Clear and skilled written communication skills for documentation and ticketing.
n
- Ability to work effectively with a user base on varying shift patterns.
n
- Organised, proactive, and self-driven with a commitment to excellent customer service.
n
- Willingness and capability to travel and work on FIFO rosters to regional sites.
n
- Experience coordinating with stakeholders and working autonomously in remote environments.
n
- Bachelor's degree in IT or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
n
- Cisco CCNA or similar certification desirable
n
