The Opportunity
A well-established residential builder is seeking a Project Engineer to join their Quality & Compliance function on a major Sydney construction project. This is a chance to work on a large-scale, technically complex build within a business known for delivering high-quality residential outcomes across the city.
Reporting to the Project Manager , you'll play a key technical coordination role, bridging design, construction and subcontractor delivery to ensure the project is built right, on time, and to a high standard.
The Business
Our client is a respected name in Sydney's residential construction sector, with a track record delivering major projects from a tier 1-2 environment. They have a stable, experienced leadership team and a genuine pipeline of large-scale work ahead, this isn't a one-project role, it's a platform for long-term growth with a serious builder. Jobpac experience will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage delivery of project scope,
quality and safety requirements
- Oversee quality management systems and documentation
- Provide technical coordination between design, construction and subcontractors
- Maintain project documentation. Progress reports, risk assessments, plans
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, including DBPA requirements
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers and subcontractors
- Identify and manage project risks, ensuring timely resolution
- Report project status to PM and contribute to ongoing meetings
Experience Required
- Tertiary qualification in Building/Construction Management or Civil Engineering
- Experience in a similar role on major building projects, ideally tier 1-2
- Strong understanding of quality/compliance frameworks
- Residential construction background
- Jobpac experience
- Proven track record on large-scale structures
