Job Description
Associate, Corporate Development
n
We are partnering with a leading financial services institution to hire an Associate within its Corporate Development & Strategy function. This is a rare opportunity to join a high-performing in‐house team responsible for end‐to‐end execution of M&A;, divestments, and strategic investments, working directly with senior stakeholders across the business.
n
You will play a key role in evaluating and executing high‐impact, enterprise‐level transactions.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Support and lead end-to-end M&A; and divestment processes, including financial analysis, due diligence, and execution
n
- Build and own complex financial models to evaluate transactions, including:n n
- Integrated 3‐statement models
n
- DCF and valuation analysis
n
- Accretion/dilution and return metrics
n
n
- Conduct strategic and commercial analysis to inform investment decisions
n
- Partner closely with senior stakeholders across finance, strategy, and business units
n
- Prepare investment papers and materials for executive and board‐level decision‐making
n
- Evaluate market opportunities, partnerships, and inorganic growth initiatives
n
n
Required Background
n
n
- 3-5 years' experience in:
n
- Investment Banking (M&A; / Coverage / Leveraged Finance), or
n
- Big 4 Transaction Services / Deals, or
n
- Corporate Development within a large organisation
n
- Demonstrated experience working on live transactions and financial modelling
n
n
Technical Skills
n
n
- Advanced financial modelling capability (essential)
n
- Strong understanding of:n n
- Valuation methodologies (DCF, comps, transactions)
n
- M&A; mechanics and deal structuring
n
n
- Ability to build models from first principles with minimal supervision
n
n
