Technical Business Analyst - Master Data Management

Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst with strong knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Migration to join a multi-year HR and Payroll transformation program.

n

Responsibilities

n

n
- Analyze and implement MDM concepts, principles and best practices on large transformation programs with complex data sets.
n
- Assess data quality, perform data profiling, and define validation rules to improve data accuracy and consistency.
n
- Support data governance frameworks and ensure data quality across MDM initiatives and related systems (e.g., HR/Payroll).
n
- Collaborate on testing and validation of MDM business rules to meet business requirements and data standards.
n
- Assist with data migration activities as part of the transformation program.
n
- Engage with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
n

Qualifications

n

n
- 5+ years as a Technical Data Analyst working on large transformation programs with complex data sets.
n
- Strong understanding of MDM concepts, principles and best practices.
n




- Experience with MDM tools and technologies; knowledge of data governance frameworks and data quality management.
n
- Ability to analyse complex data sets, identify data quality issues, and derive validation rules to improve data accuracy and consistency.
n
- Proficiency in data profiling and data quality assessment.
n
- Strong understanding of testing and validation of MDM business rules to ensure they meet business requirements and data standards.
n
- Any exposure to HCM, Payroll, SAP, HANA projects would be highly beneficial.
n

Contract & Location

n

- 2 year Fixed Term Contract to start ASAP.
n
- East Melbourne location; interview and start ASAP.
n
- 2 days work-from-home; flexibility may increase with tenure.
n
- Get in early on a complex transformation program that runs until 2030.
n
