Kummara Ltd.is an Aboriginal Community Controlled organisation established in 1999 providing support to vulnerable families at risk. The organisation's objective is to support the long-term wellbeing and resilience of First Nations children and families. Kummara offers many programs and works in partnership with families for the achievement of independence and strengthening of the family's capabilities. We believe in the strengths of family and community and have developed a strong reputation for engaging and supporting our community.

We currently have a Fulltime position for an Administration Officer (SCHADS level 2) located in the Ipswich region.

About the role:

Our Administration Officers are a key part in our operational governance and program performance, therefore an eye for detail and capacity to respond and manage competing priorities in a timely and professional manner is a must. The role will be based at our office in the Ipswich region and will provide critical administrative support to other areas of the Organisation (this may require travel between multiple locations at times).

Your day to day will involve:

Reception duties - answering phone calls and greeting clients and/or personnel who come into the service as well as responding to clients and referring agency representatives in a timely and courteous manner.

Providing support and actioning financial and WHS requirements along with other office-based administration requirements as required by the Leadership team.





Provide high level administration support to allocated programs working in partnership with administration officers across the Organisation to ensure legislative and procedural compliance.

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as required.

Please note: This role is Monday - Friday fulltime, office based.

Required skills:

Relevant qualification or demonstrated experience in administrative roles over two years (Schads Level 2) in a Community Services Organisation.

Demonstrated intermediate ability to use computer IT systems including MS Word and Excel.

Solid attention to detail and data entry accuracy along with the ability to facilitate the competing demands, prioritize tasks and work to deadlines.

Demonstrated effective and strong verbal and written communication skills with emphasis on interpersonal communication skills including the ability to establish trust and maintain rapport, maintaining confidentiality and privacy.

Current Queensland Provisional Green or above Driver Licence.

Ability to obtain other legislatively required personal history screening as required.

Key Selection Criteria:

Experience in working in administrative roles, preferably within organisations working with vulnerable people including those with a disability, and those with complex care needs.

Developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport within teams.

Demonstrated time management skills, strong attention to detail with the ability to balance and prioritise administrative requirements.

Demonstrated understanding of, and ability to, work in alignment with the Purpose and Values ofKummara.
