Project Engineer (Manufacturing / CAPEX)

Are you an experienced Project Engineer with a background in manufacturing, automation or capital projects?

We're partnering with a global manufacturer to recruit an experienced Project Engineer to join their high-performing Engineering team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Reporting directly to the CAPEX Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering equipment and process improvement projects that enhance manufacturing capability, efficiency and safety.

This is an excellent opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of capital projects within a highly automated manufacturing environment while working alongside operations, maintenance, quality and engineering teams.

About the Role

n

You'll be responsible for delivering small to medium-sized CAPEX projects from concept through to commissioning, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time and within budget.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Managing multiple CAPEX projects simultaneously
n
- Developing project scopes, budgets, schedules and resource plans
n




- Coordinating internal stakeholders, contractors and suppliers
n
- Supporting equipment installation, commissioning and validation activities
n
- Driving process improvements and automation initiatives
n
- Preparing engineering documentation, specifications and project reports
n
- Monitoring project costs, risks and timelines
n
- Ensuring compliance with cGMP, quality standards and site engineering requirements
n
- Providing technical support to manufacturing and operational teams
n

About You

n

To be successful, you'll ideally bring:

n

n
- Degree qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or Chemical Engineering
n
- Demonstrated experience delivering CAPEX projects within manufacturing, FMCG, pharmaceutical, food & beverage or similar regulated environments
n
- Strong project management experience including budgeting, scheduling and contractor management
n
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
n
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
n
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
n
- Knowledge of cGMP, GMP, ISO or regulated manufacturing environments will be highly regarded
n
- Prepared to complete a Pre Employment Medical (including Drug and Alcohol testing).
