Position: Principal Adviser – Government Sector Labour Relations (GSLR) - Permanent appointment or fixed‐term up to 12 months with possibility of extension.

n

The role

n

Represent the Minister for Industrial Relations and Executive Director GSLR in developing, implementing and monitoring labour relations strategies, policies and workplace practices. Focus on framework and reform, bargaining and employer support.

n

Responsibilities

n

n
- Lead projects, working in partnership with stakeholders to apply expertise and achieve results.
n
- Work with public sector employers, unions and others to drive whole‐of‐government workforce reforms, negotiate awards and agreements, and resolve disputes.
n
- Build relationships with diverse stakeholders and communicate effectively to deliver outcomes.
n
- Act as a problem solver, managing complex issues and delivering practical solutions.
n

Qualifications and Experience

n

n
- Experience in identifying, researching and analysing complex problems to develop effective practical solutions.
n




- Knowledge of labour relations framework with substantial experience in its practical application, or substantial experience in applying legal or policy frameworks in a public sector context.
n
- Demonstrated resilience and expertise to achieve results in high leverage areas.
n
- Australian citizenship, permanent residency or eligible visa for permanent or fixed‐term employment.
n
- Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check.
n
