About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Food and Beverage Manager to join our team at NOAHS on the beach in Newcastle. This is a full-time position based on-site at our beachside location. As Food and Beverage Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of our food and beverage operations, ensuring exceptional service standards, operational efficiency, and profitability. This role is central to maintaining our reputation for excellence and driving the success of our dining and hospitality offerings.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee all food and beverage operations, including kitchen, bar, and dining areas, ensuring consistent service quality and adherence to company standards
- Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to build a high-performing team capable of delivering outstanding guest experiences
- Monitor food and beverage costs, inventory management, and pricing strategies to optimise profitability whilst maintaining quality standards
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations, maintaining all necessary certifications and documentation
- Liaise with suppliers and negotiate contracts to maintain quality whilst managing costs effectively




- Manage customer feedback and complaints, implementing corrective actions to enhance satisfaction and loyalty
- Prepare financial reports, budgets, and performance analyses to support business decision-making
- Collaborate with management to develop and execute marketing initiatives and promotional activities

What we're looking for

- Minimum 5 years' experience in food and beverage management within a hospitality or tourism setting
- Proven track record of successfully managing food and beverage operations, including P&L; responsibility
- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations, and compliance requirements in Australia
- Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, guests, and suppliers
- Experience in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and restaurant management software
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification or willingness to obtain
