About the department
n
Our Women's Health Unit includes:
n
n
- 43‐bed postnatal, antenatal, and gynaecology ward
n
- 7 modern Birthing Suite rooms
n
- 7‐bed Special Care Nursery, supporting our maternity services
n
n
You'll work closely with midwives, medical staff, and allied health professionals in a collaborative and respectful environment.
n
About the role
n
As a Registered Nurse in our Special Care Nursery, you will:
n
n
- Deliver high‐quality, family‐centred neonatal nursing care
n
- Work autonomously within the SCN while being supported by a skilled multidisciplinary team
n
- Apply sound clinical judgement and decision‐making in a nursery setting
n
- Uphold ACQSHC National Standards and Healthscope values
n
- Contribute to continuous improvement and positive patient experiences
n
n
About you
n
n
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
n
- Minimum 3 years' neonatal nursing experience
n
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and unsupervised in SCN
n
- Neonatal qualification (or actively working towards)
n
- Skilled with respiratory support such as bubble CPAP and HHFNC
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
- Strong commitment to quality patient care and safety
n
- Sound clinical decision‐making and problem‐solving skills
n
- Current NSW Working with Children Check
n
- Compliance with ACQSHC National Standards
n
- Postgraduate qualification in neonatal nursing (or working towards)
n
