This is an opportunity to develop the core infrastructure that keeps large-scale, latency-sensitive trading systems running safely, reliably and at exceptional speed. Working in a highly collaborative engineering environment, you'll build production-grade C++ services that support everything from real-time risk controls and trade lifecycle management to reference data and distributed platform services.

What You'll Be Working On
n
n
- Developing high-performance C++ services supporting large-scale electronic trading platforms.
n
- Building distributed systems responsible for real-time risk controls, reference data, trade lifecycle management and critical platform services.
n
- Designing low-latency, fault-tolerant applications capable of handling high volumes of real-time data.
n
- Owning projects from architecture and design through implementation, deployment and production support.
n
- Improving platform resilience, scalability and operational reliability across business-critical systems.
n
- Collaborating closely with software engineers, infrastructure teams and trading stakeholders to deliver robust technical solutions.
n
- Driving engineering best practices through code reviews, automated testing, observability and continuous improvement.
n
- Modernising existing systems and replacing manual processes with scalable engineering solutions.
n
- Mentoring engineers and helping shape technical standards across the wider engineering organisation.
n

What We're Looking For
n
n
- Excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals including algorithms, data structures, networking and operating systems.
n
- Experience building high-performance, low-latency or distributed systems.
n
- Strong Linux or Unix systems knowledge.
n
- Experience with Python or another scripting language.
n
- Experience delivering production software throughout the full software development lifecycle.
n
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting and performance optimisation skills.
n
- Experience with distributed systems, CI/CD pipelines, observability or cloud-native tooling is advantageous.
n
- Understanding of relational databases and modern data platforms is beneficial.
n
- Previous experience within electronic trading or financial markets is advantageous but not essential.
n
- A cooperative mindset with a passion for building reliable, maintainable and scalable systems.
n
