Job Description
S/he is responsible for supporting our customers for the selection, application / implementation, usage / functionality, quality, training, etc to support the business growth in the market. The role is critical in the rapid expansion of the technology proposition across product and services. S/he should have industry experience and is able to provide guidance and insight into the product requirements in certain industries, and thus able to influence customer's choice / product selection.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Product

- Will provide application knowledge and support on key strategic product offering
n
- Attend site as and when required to understand customer application and needs and provide solutions from defined product offering
n
- Able to handle enquiries professionally by phone, emails, etc including walk in customers.
n
- Support the market GM/Sales Manager on deep technical or industry sector related topics.
n
- Build knowledge bases on prioritized products, FAQs, product comparison charts, alternative products, etc.
n
- Product / Category training to sales team and customers.
n
- Align and collaborate with the Product & Supplier Managers in NPI selection and prioritization.
n
- Deep understanding of electrical / electronic product range, technical content, and applications.
n
- Review and enhance technical documentation, schematic design, etc.
n
- Measure and achieve set revenue growth objective
n
- Support X Reference Team with BOM management as required
n
- Provide guidance and insight into certain industry sectors in term of product requirements, challenges
n
- Support Sales and marketing team on technical value propositions and solutions.
n
- Identify project or spec-in opportunity with the customers / end users.
n
- Work with customer end users and internal sales team to provide the professional technical advice.
n
- Support the industry trade show events and tech demos.
n
- Assist marketing team with technical content including text and physical products.
n
- Occasionally support customer meetings throughout the entire sales process, from opportunity identification to post sales and maintenance.
n
- Contribute to responding to RFQ, creating product presentations, customer training, etc.
n
- Diploma or Engineering Degree in Electronics, Electrical or Mechanical.
n
- Min of 5 years of strong Application engineer/Electronics & Industrial experience in Electronics, Industrial
n
- Robust communication skill, able to communicate confidently and effectively at all levels of the business
n
- Being independent, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision. The candidate will need to strategize, plan and execute Engineering proposal activities to meet and exceed the business targets.
n
- This is primarily an individual contributor role. People management experience is not required, but experience working with other people internally and externally is important.
n
- Experience working in face to face customer visits in field/on site will be advantage.
n
- Able to show evidence of value-added technical spec-in, engineering advice to customers.
n
- Local & multi language skills will be an added advantage.
n
- Experience or practical knowledge / skills with SBC, Test & Measurement and/or Telemecanique sensors is an advantage
