Job Summary

n

As the Principal of Aspect Central Coast School in Terrigal, NSW, you will lead a dedicated team of Special Education educators to deliver inclusive, evidence‐based learning for children on the autism spectrum. The role involves strategic vision, operational oversight, financial stewardship, and community partnership development to ensure high-quality outcomes for students.

Responsibilities

n

n
- Provide strategic leadership and direction aligned with Aspect's mission and values.
n
- Oversee curriculum development and implementation, ensuring it meets the unique needs of students with autism spectrum disorder.
n
- Manage and mentor teaching and support staff, promoting professional development and best practices.
n
- Collaborate with parents, carers, and the wider community to enhance student outcomes.
n
- Develop and manage the school budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
n
- Ensure compliance with educational standards and regulations.
n
- Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that supports the wellbeing of students and staff.
n
- Implement and oversee effective behaviour support strategies.
n
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including government agencies and community organisations.
n
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of education and support services.
n

Qualifications

n

n
- Experience in successfully managing and developing teams in the education sector, including multi‐disciplinary teams (special education services preferred).
n
- Demonstrated experience building collaborative and effective relationships with community stakeholders.
n
- Professional experience working with children on the autism spectrum and/or special needs.
n
- Strong ICT knowledge and skills (including MS Office suite, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.).
n




- Demonstrated ability to manage school finances.
n
- Commitment to the principles of qualified practice as per the Australian Professional Standards for Principals.
n
- NESA accreditation (essential) and tertiary qualifications in educational leadership and disability (Master's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field).
n
- NSW Working with Children Check clearance for paid employment.
n
- Current NSW driver's licence.
n
- May be required to provide an international police clearance.
n
