About the role

n

In the Vacation Student – Mining Engineer role,you'llgain hands-on experience supporting mine planning and operational activities across our mining operations. Working alongside experienced engineers,you'llcontribute to projects that help optimise production, improveefficiencyand support safe mining practices.

n

Some of your work may include:

n

n
- Assistwith short and medium-term mine planning activities
n
- Support drill and blast design and analysis
n
- Contribute to mine scheduling and production reporting
n




- Assistwith operational improvement projects
n
- Analyse mining data andidentifyopportunities for optimisation
n
- Support ventilation,haulageand mining studies
n
- Work closely with engineering and operational teams to support protected and productive mining activities
n

Cowal Gold Operations, NSW

n

Located near West Wyalong in Central New South Wales, Cowal is one of Australia's largest open pit gold mines, offering students exposure to a large-scale mining operation within a supportive regional community.

Roster:5:2/4:3

n

Included:Subsidised accommodation, flights at the commencement and conclusion of the program, plus return travel home during the festive period.

About you

We'relooking for motivated students who are curious,hands-onand keen to grow their technical skills.

You'll be:

- Studying Mining Engineering or a related discipline
n
- Demonstrating an interest in mining operations and mine planning
n
- A strong problem-solver with analytical thinking skills
n
- A confident communicator and team player
n
- Willing to live and work in a regional mining environment
n
- Hold a valid manual driver's licence
n
