HR Advisor — Building Materials Manufacturing

Our client is a well-established, national building materials manufacturer with a strong reputation across the Australian construction industry. As the business continues to grow, they're looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join their National HR & Development team.

About the Role

n

Reporting to the National HR & Development Supervisor, you'll be the trusted first point of contact for managers and employees across the business on all things HR, employee relations and industrial relations.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Provide practical advice to managers on performance management, misconduct, grievances and workplace concerns
n
- Support and conduct workplace investigations with fairness and discretion
n
- Prepare ER documentation — warnings, performance improvement plans, investigation outcomes and correspondence
n
- Advise on the interpretation and application of Awards,



Enterprise Agreements and employment legislation
n
- Support Enterprise Agreement negotiations and broader industrial relations matters
n
- Maintain compliance across employment records and workplace documentation
n
- Identify and drive continuous improvement in HR processes and systems
n

About You

n

n
- 5+ years' experience as an HR Advisor within a business of 100+ employees
n
- Demonstrated experience in Union EBA negotiations
n
- Solid working knowledge of employment legislation and industrial relations
n
- A hands-on, practical approach — as comfortable in the detail as you are with the bigger picture
n
- Excellent judgement, discretion and stakeholder communication skills
n
- Nationally recognised HR/IR qualification; MBA or postgraduate study highly regarded
n
