We are seeking a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our busy automotive workshop. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, maintaining and repairing a range of light motor vehicles.
Key responsibilities
Detect and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in engines and vehicle components
Diagnose and test vehicle faults using computerised diagnostic equipment
Carry out scheduled servicing and general vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, lubrication and tune-ups
Inspect, dismantle and repair engines, transmissions, steering, suspension and braking systems
Repair and replace worn or defective mechanical parts and components
Reassemble engines and mechanical components following repairs
Test and adjust repaired components to ensure vehicles are operating safely and correctly
Follow manufacturer specifications, service manuals and workshop procedures when carrying out repairs
Inspect vehicles and identify any additional repairs or maintenance required
Maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop environment
About you
Previous experience as a Motor Mechanic
Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
