Warranty Manager - Residential Construction

About the role
We are seeking a Warranty Manager to oversee the delivery of InForm's post-handover warranty service.
Thie role manages warranty matters from initial client notification through to inspection, rectification and completion, working closely with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams.
This role requires strong residential construction knowledge, sound technical judgement and the ability to resolve issues professionally while balancing client expectations, quality, cost and timeframes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage the end-to-end warranty and post-handover service process.
- Conduct warranty inspections and assess reported defects.
- Coordinate and oversee rectification works.
- Manage client communication and resolve escalated warranty matters.
- Source and manage warranty subcontractors and suppliers.
- Manage warranty costs, records and reporting.
- Resolve technical warranty issues.
- Monitor recurring defects and provide feedback to improve construction quality.
- Ensure warranty activities comply with relevant building requirements and company standards.
- Liaise with the company lawyer to obtain legal advice when required, to report to Managing Director.
About You
This role would suit someone with warranty experience, or an experienced builder or building supervisor looking to take the next step in their career in an off-the-tools role.
Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience in residential construction, warranty, maintenance or building supervision.
- Strong knowledge of residential construction methods and defect rectification.
- Sound knowledge of the National Construction Code, relevant Australian Standards and residential building requirements.
- Strong client service, communication and conflict-resolution skills.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and construction works.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Commercial awareness and experience managing warranty or maintenance costs.
- High attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
- The ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with internal teams.
- A relevant building qualification, trade background or Victorian building registration would be highly regarded. Applicants must be Australian residents with current,
unrestricted working rights in Australia to be considered for this position.
