Job Description

The Intensive Care Paramedic Employment Register is established to provide the Department of Health with a pool of experienced and skilled individuals who can be called on short notice. The register will remain open until 30 June 2027 and will be reviewed regularly.

Duties

n

n
- Attend to members of the community requiring clinical care and treatment via ambulance services.
n
- Independently or as part of a team, deliver an advanced level of pre‐hospital clinical care in accordance with approved clinical guidelines.
n
- Provide relief at outer-urban and branch stations as required within established guidelines and in accordance with the appropriate position description for the role being relieved.
n
- Complete all relevant documentation related to clinical services, training provided and changes to the working environment and equipment.
n




- Maintain constant contact with the State Communications Centre in accordance with Ambulance Tasmania policies and protocols.

Essential Requirements

n

n
- Registered with the Paramedicine Board of Australia.
n
- Holds a Bachelor of Paramedic Science and relevant work experience or an equivalent qualification approved by the Service.
n
- Current driver licence.
n

Pre‐Employment Checks

n

n
- Conviction check covering crimes of violence, sex‐related offences, responsible drug offences, crimes involving dishonesty, serious traffic offences and identification checks.
n
- Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
n

n
