Engineering Fabricators Newcastle is a leading steel construction company specialising in structural steel fabrication, installation, shop detailing and 3D modelling.

We deliver projects across the commercial, industrial, retail and residential sectors throughout Newcastle, Sydney, the Central Coast, Hunter Valley and Mid North Coast.

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our growing project delivery team.

n

About the Role

n

The Project Manager plays a key role in the successful delivery of structural steel projects, overseeing safety, quality, program delivery and financial performance.

n

You will be trusted to take ownership of your projects and supported by an experienced in-house team across detailing, fabrication and site installation.

n

This role is primarily based at our new Black Hill facility, with regular travel to project sites and meetings with clients and suppliers as required.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Plan and manage projects from award through to completion
n
- Determine project resource requirements including labour, materials and equipment
n
- Work closely with detailers and draftsmen to confirm project specifications
n
- Coordinate project schedules, deliveries and site activities
n
- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure works meet safety and quality standards
n
- Manage the RFI process, design changes and variations
n
- Track project costs and prepare progress claims and financial reporting
n




- Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors
n
- Negotiate with stakeholders to achieve commercial and project outcomes
n
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards
n

About You

n

n
- This role is best suited to a Project Manager with proven experience delivering structural steel fabrication and erection packages.
n
- Minimum 5 years' experience in structural steel project management or similar
n
- Robust understanding of structural steel fabrication and erection
n
- Knowledge of Australian Standards and building codes relating to structural steel
n
- Experience with cost tracking, progress claims and variations
n
- Ability to develop erection methodologies and delivery schedules
n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
n
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
n
- Valid Driver's Licence and Construction White Card
n
- Engineering or construction-related qualifications preferred but not essential
n
